Intermediate Championship

Good luck to our Senior lads who head for Inniskeen on Saturday at 3pm to take on Corduff in the quarter final of the Intermediate Championship. In a rollercoaster season they have worked hard and now they have the opportunity to upset the odds. Please come and support the team.

U15’s

It’s a big weekend for the club as our U15’s, who take on Truagh in the Division 2 Championship Final on Sunday at 5.30pm in Gavan Duffy Park, Monaghan. Well done to the team and management on their exploits all year and victory would be their just reward. Once again support from club members and patrons is very important on the day to encourage and cheer them on. Seans Abu.

Bowls

Indoor bowls are back. The bowls club has returned on a Thursday night at 8pm in the complex. They are anxious to recruit any new or old faces to bolster their teams. Anybody interested, please call in on Thursday evening and you will given the best of coaching, encouragement and advice in taking up the sport.

Sympathy

The Club would like to extend sincere sympathy to Maire McElvaney and the Finegan Family from Carrickmacross, on the recent passing of their father Mr. Brian Finegan.

Also condolences to the Mc Connon Family, Highfield Close, Monaghan on the passing of Mrs. Monica McConnon. Monica’s husband, the late Sean, had a long association with club teams in the 1960’s.
