Junior Championship

The senior squad will head to St Tiernachs Park on Sunday at 5pm to take on Clones in the penultimate game in the Junior Championship league series. Once again this will be a test of our metal and, hopefully, we can manufacturer another victory. Please come out and show your support the players.

Juveniles

The U17’s Seans na Mullai made the long trip to Corduff last Friday night as they took on Oglaigh Naomh Buach in the first round of the Division 2 Championship. Having the upper hand from the Shield final, the home side did not bow to our initial pressure. The opening period was very much a nip and tuck affair with margins still tight at the break. However, as the second period developed, the way back to victory became a distant hope as the home side closed out the game in a strong manner. Certainly, it was a baptism of fire for round one of the championship, but the lads will not panic and wait for their opposition in the Championship Shield.

As if it were déjà vu, our U15’s will also travel to Corduff on Friday night for their Championship semi-final. A strange twist of fate for the team, having never played under flood lights before, they will take on the home team. It will surely be a learning experience which will stand them in good stead. Our lads have worked hard all year and having put in a mammoth effort they will hopefully leave no regrets under the lights on Friday night. Good luck to all involved and hopefully looking forward to place in the final.
