Well done to all our winners on Monday night, as we paid almost €5000 in prizes and one lucky punter scooped €1000 for themselves on page 2. Intermediate League

Our fate was finally sealed on Saturday last with defeat to Doohamlet in the relegation playoffs. This has drawn a line under a difficult season when the commitment of players and management was never in question as they gave their all throughout the year. We thank all involved and welcome a break from the scene and allow all to rejuvenate themselves for 2024. As someone once said, “ even on hard days you know there are better days coming”, and we will bounce back.

U17 Championship

The U17’s play a very important game in the championship series at home to Rockcorry on Sunday at 12 noon. We would encourage all our supporters to come and cheer the lads on as they bid for a final place in the competition. We wish them well.

Sean Ógs

A huge thanks to our Academy coaches who organised the final blitz of the year on Saturday morning last. Our guests were Blackhill, Killeevan and Tyholland and we thank them for their participation. On the day, all our Academy players, were presented with a new kit bag in appreciation of their efforts during the year. This represented ninety bags which were kindly sponsored by Derek McMahon and Louis Mullen of Drumsheeny Transport. As a Club, we are extremely lucky to have such a supportive network of people who either give up their time each week to coach the children, take them to games , make tea and buns or are on hand to sponsor teams. This puts the Club at the heart of the community where everybody belongs. Well done to all involved.

The Plans are underway to unveil our new fundraising campaign on Sunday the 5th of November. Note the change of date. Our “lighting the future’’ promotion will be launched to all the members and friends of the Club on the night by our special guest. Stay tuned to our social media for updates and details.

Club Memorabilia

We are currently collating pictures and memorabilia of teams, and general events in the club of yesteryear. If anyone has photos, programmes or anything which you feel maybe of interest please contact our PRO, Adrian Forde on 0862760848. All items will be copied and returned. This work has started with new photos etc on display in the Plex Bar.

Indoor Bowls

Bowls continue every Thursday at 8pm. This is a creational game for all ages so feel free to call in and experience the game and maybe consider taking up the sport.
