Intermediate Championship
Our quarter final game has been set for Inniskeen on Saturday 24th Sept. at 3pm. Corduff will be the opposition and we wish the lads all best in their preparations.
U15’s
U15’s qualified for the Division 2 Championship final on Saturday last with a win over Rockcorry. This a seriously competitive affair with some smashing passages of play from both sides. The Seans went into the break up by a point however, on the restart, this was quickly cancelled as Rock hit 1-1 without reply. The lads steadied the ship and found their rhythm again. They managed a couple of settling scores and slowly edged in front. An exciting game to the end, and the Seans had managed to secure the win. A final now beckons with Truagh, date and time to be confirmed.
Kilmore Drumsnatt Sports Hub
Well done to the Hub on their successful fun day on Saturday last. They were part of the fundraising campaign for the SOSAD charity on the day. In a full afternoon of events, the families enjoyed on field games and sports and then relaxed with a BBQ and music session to round off the day.
A full list of activities for the coming month are now available for booking with the Hub. Registration is available through the Hub’s Facebook page. There is a wide selection of sports available from badminton, to spin classes, martial arts and circuit training. Classes are filling up quickly so don’t delay.
Bowls
Indoor bowls are back. The bowls club has returned on a Thursday night at 8pm in the complex. They are anxious to recruit any new or old faces to bolster their teams. Anybody interested, please call in on Thursday evening and you will given the best of coaching, encouragement and advice in taking up the sport.
Ladies
Hard luck to our U16 and U12 ladies teams, who bowed out of their respective competitions at the weekend. The U12’s were narrowly defeated by Blayney in their semi final on Saturday. On Sunday, amidst the horrendous weather, our U16’s were unable to overcome a strong Aughnamullen side in their final in Gavan Duffy Park. Well done to all the players and management for their super efforts during the season.
