Match Day Sponsors

We are seeking match day sponsors for our League games this year. Families and friends are more than welcome to become a sponsor. Maybe you would like to join up with other members for a game, if so, contact Karen McKenna on 0879083438 to discuss.

Seniors

Our wagons rolled to Toome last Tuesday night for the next round of the league. In a tight pitch, the opposition would have the clear advantage, and they duly had two points on the board before we got a score. As we eased into the rhythm we started to click over the score board. Once we got the noses in front we maintained a little distance as the break approached. A four point lead for us would reflect well on the opening half in which we controlled the play. The second period would see us maintain a superior hold on the game despite the efforts of the home team. A goal scored closed out the victory and another two league points as we continue to build a head on steam.

U13’s

Congratulations to our U13 squad who secured a Division 4 cup final place on Saturday when they were victorious over Cremartin. It’s a terrific achievement for players and management who have worked extremely hard all season. They will play Blackhill in the final with date and venue to be confirmed.

U17’s

The 17’s lads also had an outing to Cremartin this week. Last Thursday they lined out in Shamrock Park for their league game in Division 3A. A highly charged and intense evening of football was on show. With nothing easy given or taken it was a close affair with penalty dramas at both ends. A confident show on the ball eventually gave us victory by four points. A second game on Monday night gave us Oglaigh Naomh Buach , at home for the next league game. In awful wind and rain we fought hard but couldn’t get the result over the line. We eventually succumbed to a two point defeat having almost snatched victory.

School Fundraiser

The Parents Association of St Mary's N.S. Threemilehouse are delighted to announce that our recent Marathon Relay fundraiser has raised a total of €5835.11
There are so many people who contributed in many ways to make this fundraiser such a huge success. We would like to thank the local businesses who advertised it and took sponsorship cards, the local sports organisations who shared it on their social media pages and in the local newspaper and the parish office for putting it in the bulletin. We would also like to thank everyone who was involved in organising the fantastic motivational videos, those who took part in them and the celebrities who arrived on the day and added so much to the occasion for the children.
A special thank you to the Sean McDermotts club for allowing us to use their facilities on the day, Fitter Younger for running the event and the parents, guardians and extended family who helped with baked goodies and drinks that morning. Finally, the biggest thank you has to go to the staff in St Mary's N.S. for their support, the parents, guardians and extended family for collecting all the sponsorship and of course the amazing children who did all the hard work on the day and completed the marathon in a fantastic 2:48:03! The money raised will now be used to purchase brand new chairs for the whole school!
