Match Day Sponsors
We are seeking match day sponsors for our League games this year. Families and friends are more than welcome to become a sponsor. Maybe you would like to join up with other members for a game, if so, contact Karen McKenna on 0879083438 to discuss.
Senior Reserves
Our reserves took on Carrickmacross, on Saturday, in the preliminary round of the Crawley Cup. It proved to be a close affair but Carrick had a little more in the tank and pushed on for victory. Midst defeat we were transported back in time, and albeit briefly, relived the skills of a legend. A goal by substitute, Damien Larkin, gave us a flashback to his heyday. Could the comeback be on? Watch this space.
U17’s
The 17’s travelled to Scotshouse on Tuesday last, to take on Patrick Sarsfields in the first game in Division 3. Having had a very mixed bag of results in the Spring League, the team needed a confidence building win to set them up for the campaign. They certainly stamped their authority early on and, with a brace of scores, had established a lead that was not for relinquishing. A strong performance but much more to work on. The first two points of the league were secured and they now take on Eire Og , on Tuesday, at home in the next round.
U15’s
The U15’s regrouped on Thursday night last, off the back of a heavy to defeat to Maghercloone, to play Inniskeen. They were much improved and more urgent with their play. Some early scores settled their nerves and once the noses were in front they never let go of the lead. It was a very comprehensive win in the end, but it was a better performance all round.
