U11’s
Well done to the U11’s who kicked off their season away to Aghabog last weekend. Great numbers in the squad and a very enjoyable morning.
U13’s
Our U13’s take on Aghabog , at home, on Friday evening at 6.15pm. Please come out and support them.
U15’s
Our 15’s secured victory in the first game of the league against Tyholland last Thursday. It was a confident display of all the skills, and none more so, than the art of penalty saving. Two penalty saves kept the visitors at the bay as they battled hard to deliver scores. Tyholland never gave up and the Seans, while holding a lead, were put to the pin of their collar up and until the final whistle. Next up is an away game to Emyvale on Thursday at 7.15pm.
U17’s
Our U17’s will make the long trek to Inniskeen on Tuesday evening next, at 7.15pm, for the next round of the Spring League. Having suffered defeat in the opening round, they will be anxious to get the momentum going with a win.
Cumann na mBunscol
Last Thursday was a truly memorable day, and one that will be noted in the history of the parish, as both national schools played each other in the Cumann na mBunscol Division 4 Girls County Final. For those that travelled to support, it was a totally enthralling , and edge of the seat stuff as the Girls played their hearts out. While St. Marys shaded the victory in the end, St. Michaels gave them a real game of it. However, they were all winners, as far as it goes, because this can only be good for the parish and for Seans Ladies to have had both teams in the final. Well done to the coaches, teachers, sponsors and , of course, the players who made the final a success. Congratulations to St. Marys on their win.
