It was a rematch of the Junior Championship final teams, as Toome were the visitors on Sunday. With both teams looking much different from that final, it was a first half of nip and tuck football. The Seans, with a good mix of youth and maturity, competed well against a very strong Toome side. With only a point the difference at the break, it was all to play for. However, Toome , stepped up their fetching of scores from long range and slotted over some excellent points as the tipped on the scoreboard. While the visitors slowly pulled away , the lads battled hard for possession and scored 2-2 in the second period. It wasn’t to be enough, and the visitors ran out winners by 3-6 to 1-20.

The U11’s will kick off their season on Saturday at 11am , away to Aghabog.

Our U13’s had a home game against Currin in the Spring league on Saturday last. A tough exciting game in this non competitive league gave all the boys a good run out.

The 17’s had their first game away to Cremartin on Sunday. While the sun shone the home team dominated for long periods of the first half and gave themselves a comfortable cushion that would see out the victory. However a battling second half by the Seans gave them the confidence to attack more and showed much more potential for the coming games.
