Senior Men League Round four of the league, and we hosted our neighbours, Aghabog on Saturday evening. In the hunt for our first points, it was great to see some faces returning from injury and taking their place in the lineout. However, once again we found it hard to hit the target in the opening half. Missed opportunities gave the visitors an advantage as they hit three two-pointers, one single point and goal in the first half. We managed six points but trailed by four at the break. In the second period, we tagged on another six points but it wasn’t enough, and as the old adage goes, goals win games, and it was the case on this occasion. While we didn’t secure any league points, we have upped our performance, but still more confidence building to done. Next up is an away trip to Killeevan on Saturday.
