Mens Junior Championship
Well, the build up is on, with another huge occasion for the Club as we await our Junior Championship Final with Emyvale in Scotstown at 3.30pm on Sunday. Our Fan Zone, on social media, is taking shape with all the good wishes from all over the county. The team as had a rollercoaster season of great wins and disappointing defeats but all will count for nothing come 3.30pm on Sunday where everything is won and lost on the day. We wish the management and team all the best for the day, and at the final whistle we will settle for the smallest advantages on the scoreboard. Just for the record, thirty five years ago, in 1990, we paid a visit to Scotstown for the same reason, to win a championship final. Maybe… just maybe history might repeat itself.  Seans Abú.

Big Breakfast
Our Senior Mens Team had their Big Breakfast morning on Sunday last in the Club Complex. The Executive would like to compliment them on the organising and running of this event. This was a terrific gathering from all over the parish and beyond and all ages were there. The huge crowd were treated to a tasty full Irish and all the trimmings. The players would like to thank all the help they received and all the donations of supplies etc.. A special word of thanks to Seanine Larkin who had the whole production line running like a well oiled machine from 8am on Sunday morning. Thanks to all our supporters who never fail to step up to the mark.

 Cumman na mBunscoil
Another huge event this weekend will be for both our schools in the parish, St. Marys Threemilehouse, and St. Michaels Corcaghan, as they will take part in their respective finals of  Cummann na mBunscoil. This will take place in Castleblayney on Saturday morning with times to be confirmed. Another massive achievement for the schools and their coaches and we wish them all the best.

Mothers & Others
Well, they came the saw, they ran the wee legs off themselves in Central Park and Rocklands GAA on their tour of New York City. Our Gaelic for Mothers and Others squad departed on Thursday morning for the USA and represented their County with pride at the International Blitz in New York. A massive congratulations to the ladies and their coach, Cormac Connolly, who ably played their hearts out in the competition. They fully embraced the occasion with good food, a little site seeing, and great company. No doubt they have many stories to tell but not for the press at the moment. Well done Ladies …. And Cormac.
