LGFA Junior Championship
Our Senior Ladies bowed out of the Championship on Sunday afternoon with a defeat to Killeevan. This brings the curtain down on the season for them, in what has been a very topsy turvy year. A combination of injuries and unavailable players did, probably, take its toll on their games. However, with every cloud there is always a silver lining, and the Management have given our younger players their opportunity to shine throughout the league and championship. A number of new faces have established themselves on the pitch and this can only be encouraging. The Club would like to thank the Management for their efforts and , of course, the team themselves who have worked so hard all year.

Mens Junior Championship
Our senior men will take on Blackhill on Sunday at 4.30pm in Cremartin in the quarter final of the Junior Championship. This is now the knock out stage where the winner will progress to the semi finals and losers will hang the up their boots for the season. Please come out and support the team and management on Sunday and show your appreciation for their efforts.

Juveniles
Last weekend was all about our U12 Boys teams and their history making wins in their respective finals. First up on Saturday was the Division 2 clash with Aughnamullen in Rockcorry. As the rain battered down the lads fought hard but slipped to a four point deficit after twenty minutes, however, a hard earned penalty in the dying minutes of the first half was promptly executed and they were now only a point behind at the break. As the rain subsided the second period began with the Seans taking a brace of scores early on and producing a lead that they tightly held onto. Despite Aughnamullen picking away at the scoreboard the Boys stood strong and closed out a memorable win by a single score. Day one done and dusted and euphoria at the final whistle was unimaginable. With all the presentations complete it was into the cavalcade for the home coming to the Complex.
However, this was only the start of this historic weekend, as our Division 6 team would take on Cremartin in the Shield final on Sunday. There was a number of players who would tog out again for day two in Tyholland and without question, they would give it one hundred percent. The team started well and edged into a lead in the first half spite of the best efforts of their opponents. This win was written in the stars as the they second period ticked away, a resurgence by Cremartin was snuffed out and the Shield was heading to the parish of Kilmore and Drumsnatt. Once again it was a joyous end to a tough season for this team. They had suffered defeats, but it did not deter them and only served to make them stronger. The celebrations began again as they team made their way back to the Complex to enjoy and savour what the squad had achieved over the weekend.
The Club and its members are incredibly proud of the Boys and they must compliment them and their management on the way they have trained, developed and improved on their performances from last year. The future is very bright with these lads and there is no doubt that they will continue to be a force to reckoned with.
