LGFA Junior Championship
This was a tale of two halves as the wind battered Pairc Sheain Mhic Diarmada on Saturday evening for the LGFA Junior Championship match with Inniskeen. The visitors took full advantage of the windy conditions and seized the opening scores. However, the Seans Ladies settled and managed to stay in touch until the twenty third minute when Inniskeen hit the net for first time. Another point before half time would see them five points to the good at the break. The interval gave the home team time to plan, and with the wind at their back for the second period, they started with a bang. Two goals and a point in the first ten minutes made it game on. Inniskeen, despite facing into the gale, managed to stay in touch and keep the scoreboard alive. However, what followed was a brace of goals, two from play and a well hit penalty started to push a little daylight between the sides as the Seans found their rhythm.
Into the last quarter, and as the home straight was getting closer for the Seans, Inniskeen, Injury time furores and goalmouth scrambles would have everyone on edge as Inniskeen hunted in packs for the goal but with no success. The final whistle eventually sounded with the Seans winning by three points in the end. Thoroughly entertaining stuff and a good start for the Seans in their opening game of the competition.

Mens Junior Championship
All roads lead to Scotstown on Sunday evening for our final game in the group stages. With one win, and 2 defeats our backs are firmly against the wall to secure a victory in order to have any chance of proceeding in the competition. The game throws in at 5pm and we encourage all to come out and support the lads.

Minor Championship
Our Minor team had their opening game of the group stages with the amalgamated sides of Currin and Clones ( St. Tiarnach Patricks ) in Clones on Tuesday night. This was a close affair from the start with nothing between the sides. A tough competitive game throughout which produced some fine scores. However, despite both teams thinking victory was theirs, it concluded as a draw. Next up is a home tie with Aughnamullen on Saturday at midday.

 Juveniles
Well done to our U12 squad who overcame Clontibret on Sunday and have now qualified for the Div.6 Shield Final. Dates and venue for the final are to be confirmed.
