Senior Men Junior League
The senior men made the journey to Oram on Friday night last for round four of the league. They started strong with the lads making great strides and knocking over points from all directions despite the congested Oram defence. The break arrived and we were seven points to the good. Following the interval our strike raid began to drop and slowly the opposition found their shooting boots and started to pick a hole in our lead. Twenty minutes had passed and, although we had added to the scoreboard, the home team had outscored us and were breathing down our necks with only two points the difference. In a hectic last ten minutes, we struggled to advance the scoreboard but we closed down the attacks and limited the opportunities for Oram. The final whistle was a relief with two points the difference and we had achieved our fourth win of the league. Not pretty and not for the purest but job done and we move on to round five on the 25th May for the local derby with Aghabog.

Senior Ladies Reserves
In the early sunshine on Sunday morning, Inniskeen were our visitors for the latest reserve league game. A much improved Seans team, struck first and set the tone for the game. However, Inniskeen were never far away and, at the break, were only three points adrift. The second period continued with the home team working some really good moves but unable to shake the threat of the opposition by more than a score. In the end our goals scored would be the difference and a point victory at the final whistle. We1l done to all.

Minor Boys
Our minors had an away fixture on Wednesday last in Carrickmacross. It was great to see a number of players returning from injury to take their place on the team. In an end to end encounter, the Seans gave as good as they got to a very strong and accurate Carrick team. Having scored 3-17 and going two points in front in the closing stages, one would think it was enough to edge the win, however Carrick engineered some fine scores in the final minutes to win by three points. A very entertaining game and much improvement on show by the lads. Next up is Truagh, at home, on Tuesday night.
