Bingo at The Seans
It was a Vegas style bingo on Monday night with Elvis 1 and 2 calling the numbers and prizes. In a great night for punters, we paid out nearly €8000 in prizes. Our main jackpot was not won, and it moves on to €10,900 for next week. All other jackpots remain the same. Our Las Vegas giveaway came to a conclusion during the evening as the lucky 25 names were put in the hat for the top prize. First out and winner of the Las Vegas trip draw was Maureen McCarville. U14 Div 1 Girls Final
As the song says, “there’ll be days like this”, and so it was for our U14 Girls last Saturday. Already making Club history, being the first ladies team to ever reach a Division 1 Championship Final, the Girls had made their statement before the throw in. Anything after this would be a bonus, but the big, physical team of Donaghmoyne stood in the way of a win. Despite a wonder goal after forty seconds in the first period, we were under pressure in all areas as the opposition struggled to take control. However, Donaghmoyne proved to be stronger as the game took shape, and despite huge efforts by the girls, they could not sustain the inevitable comeback. The result, in the end, was a win for Donaghmoyne, but our girls left nothing on the field with their energy unquestionable. As a team, they have thrived on tough, uncompromising games all season and beaten many of the favourites along the way. Their performances are a credit to their management and themselves for the hard work done in training and games. While we commiserate on the defeat, we congratulate on giving us a great season. No doubt they will be back in 2025.
