Junior League
On the back of a home defeat to Scotstown, the winding journey to Currin on Saturday was nothing to relish … or so it would appear. Once again positions were modified to allow for injuries etc. and we hit the ground running. A strong first half performance set down the marker and rejuvenated the players. Although scores were tight, there was a good sense that things were beginning to click despite the single point deficit at the break. A cracking goal after two minutes of the second half and we were in the driving seat. Although Currin did pressure our defence, we held strong to see out the victory. The prize for our win ..? a quarter final draw , away to Rockcorry , on Friday night. Well done players and management.

Minor Boys
Our minors had a busy week with Magheracloone visiting on Tuesday last. A tough contest from the off with neither side giving much away. However, our guests did punish poor making and took a two point advantage to the break. The resumption of the second half was not what we come to expect from our lads. Sloppy handling and errors gave Magheracloone the impudence to drive for victory and they duly did. A disappointing result given our opportunities and much food for thought and plenty to work on. However, next up was away to Tyholland on Friday night. Once again, the lads started well and did carry a single point lead to the half time whistle. But the dark cloud would return for the second period as the home side began to establish their scores. Once again, we failed to believe in our own ability and add a red card dismissal to the equation and we were chasing the game. Tyholland capitalised on the numeric advantage and eventually ran out six point winners. Latton are visitors on Tuesday and hopefully we can get back to winning ways.

Minor Girls
Congratulations to our minor girls who secured a league final place after a win over Bridget O’Neills on Thursday last. In a rip roaring affair, with end to end action, our girls were immense as they converted scores despite the strong fightback from the visitors. Well done to all and we await a date and venue for the final where Donaghmoyne will be the opposition.

U14 Girls
We would like to wish our U14 girls all the best for their Division 1 League semi final with Scotstown, on Saturday 13th July at 5pm in Kilmore. The team is putting in some mighty performances and deserve  a crack at the final.
