Junior Football League
A resurgent Seans grabbed the game in Rockcorry last Saturday night with both hands but somehow a victory slipped through their fingers. The latest game in the Junior League was on the back of a less than adequate performance against Toome the previous week. The lads stuck to their plan and did get the scores but the home team just done enough to stay in touch. After a mixed opening half , it was going to be won and lost in the final quarter. The Seans managed to push out a four point lead, however, Rockcorry picked away at the scoreboard and in an exciting final few minutes scrambled a draw out of the proceedings. Disappointment for the lads who had gave a huge effort but all not lost and a point gained. Improvements, certainly, more to do… definitely.
Cuman Na mBunscoil
It was mixed fortunes in the parish as St Michaels Corcaghan and St Marys Threemilehouse were both in action in the Girls finals of Cuman na mBunscoil last Thursday. Well done to St Michaels who were victorious over Corduff and commensurations to St Marys who were pipped by Mullaghrafferty. It’s a tremendous achievement for the parish, the schools and for the Club. Well done to all involved.
Scor Spraoi
Once again, we were well represented at the Scor last weekend. This event for national school children was held in Ardgahey on Saturday. Congratulations to our two singers, two recitations, the ballad group and our music group who all performed so well. We have a huge array of talent in the club and a big thanks to their mentors for all the preparation.
