Intermediate Championship

We played hosts to Carrickmacross on Saturday evening for round two of the championship series. While our spirits were high, we were aware of the opposition’s capabilities and under no illusions of task in hand. We started spritely and competed well in all areas. However, the visitors were more successful in converting their changes and had we got a little rub of green could’ve went to the break all square. Instead, we entered half time four points in arrears. Our luck didn’t improve in the second period and Carrick gained the upper hand to control the game despite our best efforts. Unfortunately, the result was sealed, and defeat number two was registered. We must, once again, make the long trek to Killanny on Sunday afternoon for round three.

U15’s

Our U15’s suffered a heavy defeat away to Inniskeen on Thursday night last in round one of the championship. Hopefully we can reset and focus on round two at home to Corduff.

U11’s

Well done to the U11 squad who went touring to Donegal last weekend. They were guests in Pairc Sheain Mhic Cumhaill in Ballyboffey for a friendly challenge match. After the game hey rounded off their day trip with a visit to the beach. A big thanks to all who helped out on the day and made it a huge success.

Club Development

As one project finishes, another one has begun. The heavy machinery has moved in to start our Muga pitch this week. This will be a multi usage games area for all weathers. Hopefully this will be ready by early November.
