Allstars 2021

Congratulations to Padraic McGuirk, Mark Keogh and Niall Kearns who were nominated for the Junior Allstars team for 2020. Brendan Casey, representing Monaghan County Board, presented the lads with their award on Friday night last. The County Board also presented a Certificate of Achievement to the Chairperson, Sean McElvaney, in recognition for the Clubs work during 2020.

Juveniles

Our victorious Juvenile teams received their medals on Sunday morning last in a rather unconventional way. All parents parked their cars and each player was called individually to collect their momento. A big thanks to the Senior team players, Team Mentors and Juvenile Committee members who were on hand to help with organising. We wish all the players the best for 2021 and continued success.

We are once again on the hunt for coaches and coaching assistants for the juvenile teams at all ages. If you are a parent, past player or just want to get involved with your local club, then we want to hear from you. All age groups require help, no matter how small, and the club would be delighted to see as many new faces as old ones. Please contact Brian on 0866056286 and give him your details with a view to starting in 2021.

Have a Safe & Peaceful Christmas

The Club would like to wish all members and patrons a happy and safe Christmas and a peaceful New Year. In a year where we participated in all competitions available, had a little success here and there, and suffered some unpalatable defeats, the Club still stood firm through these unprecedented times. This is testimony to the people involved at all levels that made the best of and worked in extremely exceptional situations. We cannot forget that many have lost loved ones during 2020 and the Club did not escape this either as a number of Gaels went to their eternal reward. May they rest in peace. We can only hope that 2021 brings a much improved and more normal environment for all.
