Junior Championship

Having had the weekend off, it was our turn to watch the competition, albeit on various livestreams. Results would determine the quarter final line up for us and the others. As things turned out , Drumhowan will be our opposition on Sunday at 2pm in Scotstown. With restrictions still in place, the game will be held behind closed doors. We would ask supporters to observe the constraints and not attend the game. As we go to press , we believe, that a live streaming service maybe made available for the game. We will keep all supporters updated in relation to this during the coming days. Good luck to the team and management who have being putting in a tremendous effort in the recent weeks.

Match Day Sponsors

We would like to thank Seanie McCleary from ‘The Streat Yard’ in Corcaghan and Pearse McNally from Mc Nallys Filling Stations who recently sponsored our game against Rockcorry. We thoroughly appreciate all our sponsors support and we would encourage our membership to, in turn, support these local business’ wherever possible. Any business or individual who is interested or wishes to become a sponsor for any of our games, please contact Fergal Ward on 0864134687 for details.

Juveniles

The U17’s had a very busy week and mixed fortunes. On Tuesday night last they entertained Aughnamullen at home. This was a ding dust affair with an assortment scores from both sides. In a nail biting finale the lads edged a one point win. This was their first victory in the league after so many near misses. But there was little time to reflect on the win as it was an early shout on Sunday morning to journey to Killanny for 11am. Whether it was the early kick off or the hangover from the previous game, but the team just couldn’t get the zip in their step they needed for victory. Although they recorded a very credible 2-10 it wasn’t enough to conquer the opposition. We now enter the final stages of the league and the shield play off will go ahead this week. Good luck to the team and their management in the closing stages.

Our U15’s hosted St Marys na Mullai on Thursday night last. The team has been struggling in a very tough division but it didn’t dampen their spirits. They set out their stall early in the match and never looked back. A confident display that resulted in their first win of the league. Next up is a tough away fixture on Thursday night to Clan na Gael.

The U13 lads had a deserved break this week and will take on Aghabog in the last round of games before the play-offs are decided. This game takes place on Friday, in Aghabog, at 6.45pm.
